So yesterday was the last day of Grace Week at Redcloud. The kids were definitely excited about what had happened the night before. We had group discussions in the morning because the previous night we didn't. Come to find out, all the boys are not talking perverted about the girls like the girls had said. It's only one according to the guys. I think it may be a few more, but it was a good lesson about not judging everyone in a group because of one person. We talked, and I gave them their awards. The awards are basicaly Redcloud certificates from the counselors. We try to match the award with something good or cool or some kind of growth that we've seen in them in the past week. I like to decorated mine and write personal notes of encouragement on the backs of them. I thought they might think that they were stupid, but I think they really liked them! They even made me one really quick out of a napkin. :) I'm going to miss those kids.
I was blessed to see God do amazing things in them. The hard part is knowing that they're going to go back to Tyler and be put in the same situations that they were in before. It's pretty easy to be "spiritual" when you're in a Christian bubble so to speak, like camp. You're away from your normal circumstances and your normal life. The challenge will be to stick with the committments that they have made. Satan is going to come after them hard. He wants to destroy them. I told them this too. My prayer is that they will stand strong in Him and His mighty power and seek hard after Him. We can only be obedient. We plant and water, but God makes the seed grow. All glory to Him!
